He worked his way through the Royal administration, being Juez de Grados in Seville in 1638, Alcalde de Corte, in 1642, and Councillor of Indies (in Seville) in 1646. He later became 1st Marquis of Almodóvar. He was a close ally of Haro, being trusted with further the marriage negotiations of Haro's son in 1647. He had a brother on the Council of Finance.

Gonzaga, VespasianoVespasiano was a Menino of Baltasar Carlos, and later a Gentleman of the Chamber. In 1647 he married the 10th Countess of Paredes, continuing the couple's royal service and residence in the Alcazar. His daughter Luisa later married Tomás de la Cerda. Vespasiano was from the junior branch of the Gonzaga family - Dukes of Mantua. His brother was the Duke of Guastala whose daughter married Fernando Carlos Gonzaga, Duke of Mantua.

Haro y Aragón (Haro y Guzmán), Gaspar de, 2nd Marquis of Liche(1629-87) Between 1683-7 Liche took the post of Viceroy of Naples, and managed in some way to restore his reputation, by introducing a new coinage and getting rid of bandits. This followed an otherwise inauspicious career, having been tried for treason in 1662, and subsequently spending a number of years in the army, in penance. He married Antonia de la Cerda in 1648.
